The musical practice you used to love feels like a chore and it feels like you are trapped making music you don’t enjoy.

You’re tired of excessive self-Criticism and judging yourself against all the competition that’s out there.

You need clarity and vision to create your own goals and reignite your passion

You wonder, “why can’t I just be me and enjoy my music without comparing myself to others?”

I know you’ve said to yourself: “I want my music back!”

You’ve Felt Like You’re Missing Out

On the joy, creativity, and self-care that you used to enjoy in your music-making.

It feels like your music has drifted far away from your original dreams and goals,

and is disconnected, meaningless, or forced.

You feel like you don’t fit in the competitive world of music-making

and the endless focus on competition drains the soul of your practice.

Inky Sketch Musical Notes

Compose a joyful music-making practice that is authentically yours

because life is too short to wait to make the music that you love!

Hi, I’m Monique

I have been a trapped musician, too. As a child, I dreamed of composing, improvising, and loving my musical practice.

Over the years of my music education, that joy became lost in constant exams and competitions that heightened my self-criticism, forced me away from the music I love, and set me up for a cycle of constant disconnection from my creative self. I stopped loving my music.

The tension with which I forced myself to play and achieve set me up for injuries that left me unable to play. I became depressed and avoided musical opportunities. I was so far away from the joyful, creative child I had been.

Not only did I begin to lose my love for my own music, but it affected my musical teaching. How could I inspire other musicians when I had lost connection to my own inspiration?

I thought I would be stuck in that place of disconnection forever, until I found the intention behind creating my music and began to rebuild, step by step.

I was able to free myself from forced practice, rediscover and create clarity of vision, and find joy, self-care, creativity, and freedom in making my music again. Finally, I have been able to put my practice into a program to teach you.
